All staff members are board certified in Dermatopathology, a joint certification of The American Board of Dermatology and The American Board of Pathology.

Thomas Nicotri, Jr., M.D.
Dr. Nicotri received his medical education at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a residency in Dermatology at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Nicotri then went on to complete a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Nicotri is extensively involved in teaching Dermatopathology at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans where he serves as Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Dermatopathology in the Department of Dermatology. Dr. Nicotri has authored papers in numerous journals including the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. Dr. Nicotri’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, Leaders Society Dermatology Foundation, the Louisiana Dermatological Society and the Louisiana State Medical Society.

Vivek K. Khare, M.D.
Dr. Khare received his medical education at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. He completed a surgical internship, also in Shreveport, and then a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Tennessee and Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN. Dr. Khare completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY, under the direction of Dr. Scott McNutt. Dr. Khare has authored papers in numerous medical journals including the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, Pediatric Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Pediatric Developmental Pathology. Dr. Khare is a Fellow of the American Society of Dermatopathology, the Louisiana Dermatological Society, the College of American Pathologists, the American Society of Clinical Pathology and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

William Paul Long, M.D.
Dr. Long received his medical education at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Long completed his Dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Long has authored papers in various medical journals including Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Long is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Louisiana Dermatological Society, and a Fellow of the American Society of Dermatopathology.

W. Allen Wesche, M.D.
Dr. Wesche received his medical education at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis, TN. He completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Tennessee and Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN. Dr. Wesche continued with a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Baptist Memorial Hospital/Trumbull Laboratories, Memphis, TN under the direction of Dr. George Bale. Dr. Wesche teaches Dermatopathology at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport where he serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology. Dr. Wesche has authored papers in numerous medical journals including The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, The Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, Pediatric Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Pediatric Developmental Pathology. Dr. Wesche is a Fellow of the American Society of Dermatopathology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Louisiana Dermatological Society, the College of American Pathologists, the American Society of Clinical Pathology and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
